India currently hosts more than 2,050 GCCs, with over 1400 unique centers catering to a broad range of industries, from technology to finance, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and more.
Approximately 800-900 active GCCs in India are playing an integral role in global business operations, with many of these centers holding significant decision-making power within their parent organizations. These centers employ thousands of professionals and contribute to critical business functions such as R&D, innovation, and digital transformation. Today, GCCs are not merely about cost-saving and operational efficiency; they have evolved into drivers of innovation and business transformation. By integrating technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and automation into their operations, GCCs are helping organizations navigate complex challenges like digital disruption and market volatility. Moreover, a growing focus on sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices is prompting many GCCs to rethink their strategies for long-term growth and responsibility.
